Responsibilities:

The Lead Medical Receptionist collaborates with the Practice Administrator in an office setting to ensure quality patient care.

• Answer large volume of calls promptly.
• Screen all calls for urgency and handle all calls with confidence, compassion and efficiency.
• Overseeing Medical Receptionists and their day to day responsibilities.
• Schedule appointments for all providers.
• Make appointments for new and existing patients.
• Collect and verify patient demographic information.
• Take and record patient messages accurately.
• Review and maintain provider?s schedules to ensure productivity and that appointments are scheduled appropriately.
• Train new employees.
• Handling patient related issues.
• Perform all other duties assigned.
• Oversee employees? breaks and lunches regarding clock in/clock out.
• Oversees waiting room flow.
• Ensures call report is addressed (call backs, provider messages).
• Manages Phreesia ? blasts, check in, text responses, insurance verification.
• Responsible for copay collection.
• Oversees handling of office pool to ensure timely answering of messages.
• Admin Chart Scrub Oversight
• Preview Incoming consults for provider review.

Rotating Weekends/ 1 Weekend Day

Job Summary:

The Office Manager is the onsite manager responsible for the day-to-day operations of the practice. The Office Manager reports to the Practice Administrator. This is a very busy practice open 7 days a week. This position is 5 days per week, rotating weekends required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversees daily office operations and delegates authority to assigned staff.
• Assist in developing and implements short and long-term work plans and objectives for clerical functions.
• Assist staff in understanding/implementing clinical policies and procedures
• Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness and modifying activities as necessary. Ensures that office is staffed appropriately.
• Assist in the recruiting, hiring, orientation, development and evaluation of clerical staff.
• Establishes and maintains an efficient and responsive patient flow system.
• Oversees and approves office supply inventory, ensures that mail is opened and processed and offices are opened and closed according to procedures.
• Supports and upholds established policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental, infection control, codes, and requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies.
• Oversees and approves office invoices and submits in a timely fashion to accounting for processing.
• Provides schedules input into Cerner and manages providers? schedules, and makes necessary changes.
• Address patient concerns and handle patient correspondence. Communicates with the billing supervisor to correct billing errors in all offices.
• Manages and approves employees? biweekly payroll.
• $60,000-$70,000 annually

JOB TITLE: Physician-Cardiologist

We are looking to add a Board Certified Non-Invasive Cardiologist for a Cardiology Practice located on the North Fork of Suffolk County Long Island within easy access of Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital and other area hospitals. The practice is a division of Stony Brook Community Medical, PC. Our practice specializes in cardiac disorders, cardiovascular care and diagnostic testing. Our goal is to provide the community with a level of quality care, cutting-edge treatments and personalized attention.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

• Provides health care to patients including diagnosis and treatment as team leader.
• Obtains medical histories, performs physical examinations, and makes diagnosis, and orders appropriate, standard laboratory and diagnostic procedures as necessary.
• Evaluates procedure results. Provides preventative as well as acute care.
• Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patients’ plan of care.
• Provides patient education about underlying medical condition, self-management of acute or chronic illnesses and tailors instructions to patients’ individual circumstances.
• Instructs and counsels patients regarding therapeutic regimens, promoting wellness and health maintenance.
• Prescribes medications.
• Documents exam and progress notes in the Electronic Medical Record. Provides referral letters as needed.
• Collects, monitors and reports on patient outcomes.
• Share night and weekend call coverage with other Physicians in a Call Group.

• Ensure HIPAA guidelines are followed at all times.

• Responsible for conduct and patient interaction of shadowing medical students, physician extenders and nursing interns.

• Must build a patient population base to generate revenue to cover salary & expenses.
