The Division of General Obstetrics & Gynecology at Stony Brook Medicine is recruiting a full-time Hospitalist to join a busy academic practice with an established history of excellence. Responsibilities include labor management of low-risk deliveries at our Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, coverage of inpatient obstetrics & gynecology services at Stony Brook University Hospital, and education of medical students and residents. Stony Brook University Hospital is the tertiary care center for Suffolk County, the Regional Trauma Center, and the Regional Perinatal Center, with over 4200 deliveries per year. It is a 603-bed hospital that is in the process of a $500 million expansion, with a new Children’s Hospital and a 500,000-square-foot clinical and research space.

Stony Brook Southampton Hospital serves a diverse population in the heart of Long Island’s east end. The hospital has access to all specialties, does 900 deliveries a year with a level 2 NICU, and is closely integrated with Stony Brook University Hospital.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

• Provides health care to patients including diagnosis and treatment as team leader.

Overview:

The Psychiatrist role includes providing a mix of outpatient clinical services, and hospital-based consultation/liaison services to meet the needs of patients presenting for care. The Psychiatrist collaborates closely with primary care providers, behavioral health clinicians, hospitalists, emergency physicians and administrative leadership to deliver comprehensive psychiatric care across sites. This role blends direct patient care with interdisciplinary coordination, and contributes to clinical quality improvement efforts to ensure accessible, high-quality mental health services. The Psychiatrist will be an integral part of an interdisciplinary team at Southampton Hospital and will interface regularly with other psychiatrists and behavioral health providers across the Stony Brook Medicine continuum.

Essential Job Functions:

· Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including diagnostic assessments and treatment planning both in-person and via telehealth.

· Provide medication management and brief supportive psychotherapy as needed.

· Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.

· Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to coordinate care.

· Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).

· Participate in team meetings, clinical case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.

Meeting House Lane Medical practice, an affiliate of Stony Brook Medicine, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible endocrinologist to join our team full time. We are incredibly flexible and welcome recently trained residents. Compensation is above average and depends in part on experience and office location (Westhampton, Hampton Bays, Southampton, East Hampton).

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

· Provides health care to patients including diagnosis of endocrine conditions such as diabetes, hypothyroidism and metabolic disorders.

· Obtains medical histories, performs physical examinations, and makes diagnosis, and orders appropriate, standard laboratory and diagnostic procedures as necessary.

This is a 100% Pulmonary position with no critical care responsibilities. We are incredibly flexible and welcome recently trained residents. Compensation is above average and depends in part on experience.

• Salary:

  $320,000 – 350,000 for 24 weeks of day shifts annually. Opportunity to earn additional compensation if the provider covers night shifts within the 24 weeks. Per diem rates are also available for coverage provided outside of contracted weeks.

   

  PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  May spend a great deal of their professional day walking, standing, moving and manipulating equipment, as well as lifting and moving objects, equipment and supplies. Ability to lift 20 pounds. Moving, lifting or transferring patients or objects may involve lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as assisting with weights of more than one-hundred (100) pounds.
