Our neurology practice is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible neurologist to join our team full time. The successful applicant will work with two other neurologists and a physician assistant. We are incredibly flexible and welcome recently trained residents. Compensation is above average and depends in part on experience. No on-call weekend work is necessary.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

• Provides health care to patients including diagnosis of neurological conditions such as stroke, dementia and neuromuscular diseases and treatment.
• Obtains medical histories, performs physical examinations, and makes diagnosis, and orders appropriate, standard laboratory and diagnostic procedures as necessary.
• Must be competent to perform electrodiagnostic studies, NCV/EMG and EEG as needed.

The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to work collaboratively with cardiologists in an inpatient and outpatient setting.

Hours:Full time, must be able to rotate at the hospital, rotate weekends & must have availability to be on call.

Job Functions:

Under the direction and supervision of a licensed physician, provides cardiac care to patients.

Perform comprehensive inpatient/outpatient visits which include:

Outpatient:

• Conduct comprehensive or episodic health history and physical assessment of patients with acute, chronic and/or cardiac patients with potential health problems.
• Establish medical diagnoses. Write specific orders within the limits of the practice agreement/scope of practice.
• Perform stress testing, provide appropriate direction to office staff regarding patient care issues (triage calls etc. Manages or independently performs evaluative and treatment necessary to provide an appropriate response to life threatening emergency situations until the arrival of emergency response teams.
• Communicates effectively with referring and primary health care providers. Manage independent outpatient clinical practice and coverage for collaborating physicians, including rotating on call weekday/weekend night and weekend coverage.

Inpatient:

• Conducts comprehensive health history and physical assessment of patients with acute health problems.
• Performs admission history and physical, develops, manages and modifies treatment plans.

• Manages or independently performs evaluative and treatment necessary to provide an appropriate response to life threatening emergency situations until the arrival of emergency response teams. Facilitates referrals to appropriate community health facilities, agencies and resources.

Job Summary:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) is responsible for high quality image acquisition, processing and enhancement for the physicians? interpretation. The NMT must be able to utilize the Gemms EMR for scheduling, DRM reports, and messaging. The NMT orders the isotopes, as well as the logging in of all isotopes to be used for each day. Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals. The NMT performs quality control of all equipment. (Dose Calibrator, SPECT and PET Cameras, Well Counter, GM meter, etc.) Will perform QC wipe test, area surveys for possible contamination with RaRx, waste disposal and any other duties assigned by the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor/Technical Director.
