Our Endocrinology practice is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible endocrinologist to join our team full time. The successful applicant will work with two other endocrinologists. We are incredibly flexible and welcome recently trained residents. Compensation is above average and depends in part on experience. No on-call weekend work is necessary.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

• Provides health care to patients including diagnosis of endocrine conditions such as diabetes, hypothyroidism and metabolic disorders.
• Obtains medical histories, performs physical examinations, and makes diagnosis, and orders appropriate, standard laboratory and diagnostic procedures as necessary.
• Evaluates procedure results. Provides preventative as well as acute care.
• Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patients’ plan of care.
• Provides patient education about underlying medical condition, self-management of acute or chronic illnesses and tailors instructions to patients’ individual circumstances.
• Instructs and counsels patients regarding therapeutic regimens, promoting wellness and health maintenance.
• Prescribes medications.
• Documents exam and progress notes in the Electronic Medical Record. Provides referral letters as needed.

• Ensure HIPAA guidelines are followed at all times.
• Responsible for the conduct and care given by other clinical office staff including nurses, medical assistants and technologists. The physician is the head of the clinical team.

The primary role of a radiologic technologist (also called an x-ray technologist or radiographer) is using x-ray equipment to produce images of tissues, organs, bones, and vessels and administering radiation therapy treatments. Although radiologic technologists are required to be knowledgeable in all terminology related with radiography, anatomy, pathology, etc., a professional technologist will also possess strong interpersonal skills. A large part of the job requires giving instructions to patients who may be a bit nervous with the various radiography procedures. A well-trained technologist will be able to give straight-forward instructions as well as foster a sense of comfort and confidence to patients.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and operate diagnostic X-Ray imaging equipment and materials
• Adjusts the X-Ray equipment and operates controls to ensure there is no overexposure
• Perform various X-Ray exams according to Radiation Safety Officer?s standards and procedures
• While using clear communication, position and assist patients for imaging/exam
• Shielding patients from unnecessary exposure to radiation
• Follow providers orders to ensure accuracy of image capture
• Evaluate taken images for accuracy and clarity; ensure laterality is labeled
• Enter patient?s demographic data and patient history of any comparable exams
• Maintains all required documentation to meet regulatory standards
• Transfers daily images to LifeImage; utilize checks and balances to ensure report is received from SB imaging department, signed off, and scanned into chart
• Prepare CDs with images for patient requests
• Communicates with consulting agency for quarterly inspections of equipment
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitized X-Ray room
• Ensure HIPAA guidelines are followed

We are incredibly flexible and welcome recently trained residents. We are happy to provide on-the-job training on toxin injections, deep-brain stimulation and other procedures if necessary. Compensation is above average and depends in part on experience. No on-call weekend work is necessary.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

• Provides health care to patients including diagnosis of neurological conditions such as stroke, dementia and neuromuscular diseases and treatment.
• Obtains medical histories, performs physical examinations, and makes diagnosis, and orders appropriate, standard laboratory and diagnostic procedures as necessary.
• Performs NCV/EMG tests as needed.
• Evaluates procedure results. Provides preventative as well as acute care.
• Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patients? plan of care.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• May spend a great deal of their professional day walking, standing, moving and manipulating equipment, as well as lifting and moving objects, equipment and supplies. Ability to lift 20 pounds. Moving, lifting or transferring of patients or objects may involve lifting of up to 50 pounds, as well as assist with weights of more than one-hundred (100) pounds. Requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend or twist their body, as well as visual acuity.

The Nurse Midwife is responsible for the providing prenatal education and support, attending childbirth, providing encouragement during labor and delivery. Provides care to women during pregnancies and deliveries and calls on Physician if complications develop.

Responsibilities:

• Performs nurse duties related to midwifery including gynecological exams, preconception care, prenatal care, labor and delivery care, care after birth.
• Educates women about different types of care available.
• Emphasizes patient education, active participation, and clear communication, between the provider and the woman and individualized healthcare experience.
• Advocates birth education, relies on technology only when medically necessary.
• Writes prescriptions as needed.
• Serves as OB/GYN team member working closely with Physicians and other staff to support healthy pregnancies and deliveries.
