Coordinate care with supervising physicians and APPs during stress testing procedures.
Computed Tomography Services
Conduct pre-contrast screening and patient assessment.
Hydration protocols (pre and/or post contrast)
Review renal function laboratory results and other relevant clinical information according to established protocols.
Establish peripheral intravenous access as needed.
Administer medications prescribed for cardiac CT protocols in accordance with physician orders and nursing scope of practice.
Assist with patient preparation for cardiac CT angiography and other CT examinations.
Monitor patients before, during, and after contrast administration as clinically appropriate.
Recognize and respond to contrast media reactions and related complications.

Emergency Preparedness
Respond immediately to medical emergencies occurring within imaging services.
Initiate emergency interventions consistent with ACLS and organizational protocols.
Maintain competency in recognition and management of:
Contrast media reactions
Allergic and anaphylactic responses
Cardiac arrhythmias
Vasovagal reactions
Acute coronary syndromes
Respiratory distress
Participate in emergency drills and quality improvement activities.
Care Coordination and Documentation
Document assessments, interventions, patient education, medication administration, and patient outcomes accurately and timely within the electronic medical record.
Communicate significant clinical findings to physicians and advanced practice providers.
