Practice Lead Job – NY , West Islip

Job Summary:

Position reports to the Office Manager. Act as a central point of communication among patients and team members of our health facility. Perform team lead/secretarial duties utilizing specific knowledge of medical terminology and all office policies and procedures.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage staff; PTO requests, staff schedules, task completions, Paychex timecards
  • Consult with Office Manager on operational issues or changes to office operations. Staff issues/disciplinary action before taken, will need to be approved by Director of Human Resources before implementing
  • Manage provider/clinic schedules in SPM; adjustments, blocks, opening/closing schedules, Holiday blocks, provider PTO, and other related duties to scheduling
  • ?Communicate all Provider PTO to Director of MSO Operations and Director of Human Resources; also notify both directors of any office closures or changes in the operation schedule
  • Handling patient related issues/complaints; forward to Office Manager for follow-up
  • Oversee front end operations, including but not limited to:
  • Monitoring patient flow throughout encounters
  • Phreesia; Appointment scheduling/patient demographics capture, confirmations, blast messaging
  • Patient letters
  • Financials; Referrals, Auths, and Co-pay collection
  • Medical Record requests
  • New Patient Requests/Protocols
  • Ensure HIPAA regulations are being followed throughout practice
  • Comply with regulatory reports sent timely to Director of Training and Regulatory
  • Monitor practice policies and procedures; ensuring they are adhered
  • Answer high volume of calls promptly, confidently, with compassion and efficiency
  • Ensure daily practice operation is meeting all DOH and regulatory agency guidelines
  • Sign off and monitor of Purchase Vouchers into the AP; ensuring all accounts are up to date with payments
  • Submit ordering for clinical and non-clinical office supplies; request purchases (outside of normal operation supplies) to Director of MSO Operations
  • Open communication with Office Manager on practice operations, including
  • Operation challenges
  • Areas of improvement
  • Practice Team Meeting agenda items
  • Patient Experience initiatives
  • Employee Engagement initiatives
  • Submit daily charge reports to assigned Billing Supervisor and Biller
  • Communicate with Billing Supervisor/Coding Supervisor on any edits needed

Salary:?$22-$27.47 per hour.
