The Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) is responsible for high quality image acquisition, processing and enhancement for the physicians’ interpretation. The NMT must be able to utilize the Gemms EMR for scheduling, DRM reports, and messaging. The NMT orders the isotopes, as well as the logging in of all isotopes to be used for each day. Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals. The NMT performs quality control of all equipment. (Dose Calibrator, SPECT and PET Cameras, Well Counter, GM meter, etc.) Will perform QC wipe test, area surveys for possible contamination with RaRx, waste disposal and any other duties assigned by the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor/Technical Director.
